In 1975 my husband and I spent our first holiday on the English canals. We liked it so much that we have kept returning year after year. Our friends think we are daft to spend every holiday in the U.K. but Danny and I are well and truly hooked. We are both keen photographers, so we have assembled a nice collection of images on our travels around the system. During the long winter evenings, I have enjoyed myself with pastel, pencil and oil, using these images, trying to capture the mood of the waterways.
